More and more today in the modern world, people seem to value things that remind us who we were once and what people we belong to and the traditions that our ancestors held important to them, and so on : ) Lots of stories. Lots of remembrance * ___ *

I was chatting with a friend of mine and I said that I sometimes still see Chinese people wearing the traditional Chinese cheongsams, and that I had bought one for the upcoming Chinese New Year, myself. Friend said that it was so cool that some traditional dresses are still worn seamlessly in the modern world. She said that she was originally from Sardegna in Italy, and she said that she loves the traditional dress from her area but that people only wore them now for very special occasions and even then, it has become a bit more like a tourist trappy thing that some people put up to entertain tourists. I had to look up the dresses, of course, and boy, they ARE beaaaaaaautiful. It's too bad that they are no longer worn very much.

I love traditional outfits : D Some of them are so intricate and beautiful, speaking of the cultural heritage that they came from, and I think that's quite precious.
