Seagreen

Watercolour portrait of a girl, original character : )

I was practising to work with limited colour palette and I allowed myself only greens and blues, except for her skin tone. This character is actually a mermaid but this is her form when she's on land, walking on two feet and wearing a dressy dress :3 I chose seagreen hues mostly to reflect her mermaidness, and I also used a scale-like pattern on her dress :D

I've always liked Mermaids and their stories and of course it's always nice to draw them in their natural forms, but from time to time, it's also nice to draw them in their regular people disguise~ ^ __ ^ -

Done with Holbein watercolours on A5 pad, 300 gsm cold press.
