This is a throwback to the times that he was still with the Band of the Hawk, before the Dragonslayer sword, and way, way before everything went to hell... hahahah...

I made the sword too small at first since I didn’t quite remember the sword that he was using when he was still a teenager (just as he was joining Taka no Dan) but then I took a step back and saw the picture and had to laugh cuz regular human style swords looks so tiny for Guts so I fixed it :D :D :D

One of my old favourites manga titles But I do have to admit that the Golden Age period was my favourite~
