The Major, from Ghost in the Shell series.

Decided to draw her with a pale background here, cuz was trying to capture that sensation of living in a post-apocalyptic space where things can be very crowded and yet very impersonal. Where there’s skyscrapers and people and everything’s very busy all the time and yet one can feel as if the world’s out of colours, a barren silence, made out of concrete and obligations and digitized data.

The scene itself was inspired from that scene when she was chasing the hacker, and she’s about to throw down and that’s why one of her hands is balled into a fist :>

I love, LOVE the animation films by Mamoru Oshii. The second one isn’t as iconic as the first one but I love~

And the series was pretty good too : D Specially the Laughing Man arc! Definitely recommending, if you haven’t seen it : D
